House shaking from explosions?
Front yard and driveway dug up for a water pipe?
Back yard destroyed for a sewer pipe?
60 acres of woods bulldozed?

You can thank Ben Ku and Gwinnett County

Ben Ku doesn't represent the people who live in Gwinnett. He represents developers and destruction. The Oleander subdivision is just one of many similar scenarios playing out across the district and county. Residents of the surrounding neighborhoods fought the subdivision for 20 years. Ben Ku gave the developers the rezoning they wanted and less than a year later the property is bulldozed to make way for a 180 house cluster subdivision noone wanted. The surrounding properties are mutli-acre with single houses and the area is now ruined forever.Ask Ben Ku how much money the county has spent on the sewer extension, new water mains, road destruction, and all the other infrastructure that had to be built and see what sort of evasive lies you get. The sewer line was extended under 78 along the Yellow river before the rezoning was ever approved. See what he says about that.

Watch the public hearing for the Oleander rezoning. It is CIC2025-0503 number 9 on the agenda.Listen as representatives for the residents of surrounding Oleander and Yellow river neighborhoods explain why the rezoning should not be allowed. Then watch as Ben Ku reads a ridiculous statement that was already prepared showing it made no difference what was said by residents. Notice how he squirms when the commission chair makes him follow the correct procedure and announce his vote before he reads the statement. He doesn't represent his constituents. He represents the developers. Those woods you see in the picture beyond the silt fence will be bulldozed as well.

VOTE OUT BEN KU

If you're tired of being ignored.
If you're tired of ever increasing traffic.
If you're tired of school overcrowding.
If you're tired of developers running the county.
If you're tired of every inch of green space beeing bulldozed.
If you're tired of subdivisions with houses 10 ft from each other
If you don't want desolation and destruction next to your neighborhood

Your Vote is Your Power

The commissioners think they can do as they like with impunity and without consequence. The only way to show them otherwise is to make them respect those they are supposed to represent. We do that by exercising our vote and removing them from office.
